Parents of new students to AMS for the 2018-2019 school year are invited to attend our Ne Student Orientation parent orientation for 5/22/18 from 6-8. If you are unable to attend, we have attached the presentation below for your convenience.
Summer assignments for students requesting Honors and AP courses will be available on the Arlington High School website beginning Friday, May 18. Please visit http://arlingtonhs.acsk-12.org to access the summer assignments.
Student iPads will be collected this week beginning on Wednesday, May 16th. Students should bring their iPad and charging accessories with them to school on Wednesday.
8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be Monday, May 21, at 10:00 AM (students will report no later than 9:30) at Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Road. Jerry Borwick Photography will be photographing the 8th graders as they receive their certificate during the ceremony. Photographs will be available by pre-order only. Please see the attached order form.
6th Grade Awards Program will be Wednesday, May 23, at 1:30 PM.
7th Grade Awards Program will be Thursday, May 24, at 9:00 AM.
ACS SUMMER MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP
Attention Incoming Freshman Students to AHS: If you are interested in joining the freshman football team at Arlington High School, attached are a couple of documents that should help with the transition. One is the physical packet. This contains documents that will need to be filled out and returned to Coach Ulbricht by the start of summer workouts. If a player does not have a physical, he won’t be allowed to attend workouts. The second is the summer workout schedule for both the months of June and July. We ask that parents please email Coach Ulbricht at firstname.lastname@example.org with an email address to be added to our email list. These emails will help keep you informed and up to date on things . If you have any questions or concerns please email coach. We are looking forward to you joining the AHS Football Family.
Attention 8th grade students interested in Color Guard at AHS: Refer to the attached announcement. You may also pick up a flyer from Mrs. Finley in the library. Tryouts will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 1 - May 17.
AHS Student Council Association applications are available to current 8th graders interested in applying for AHS Student Council. The applications are in the rack right outside the door of the main office. Place completed application including essay in the designated box in the main office by Friday, May 4.

Beta Club Luau sponsored by the AMS Beta Club will be this Friday, May 4, at 3:45-5:45pm. Buy tickets May 3-4 during lunch for $5.00. A signed permission slip is required to purchase a ticket. Come join the fun with DJ Funn! Students must be picked up no later than 5:45pm. See attachment for more information and permission slip.
